About the island . In Libyan sea, opposite from the southern coast of Chania, there is the beautiful isalnd of Gavdos. It is the Southern end not only of Greece but also of Europe. It is 18 nautical miles for Chora Sfakion and about 32 nautical miles from Palaiochora. It is an island with clean beaches and abundant green. There is a boat daily during the summer months from Chora Sfakion as well as from Palaiochora.

 

 

In addition, there are daily cruises from Agia Galini and Matala to Gavdos if you want to visit us. It is a quiet and carefree place, suitable for summer vacation, far from the daily stress of the big city.
